Because affordable housing options in Marin are limited, Homeward Bound created Into Housing,
which advocates for and builds partnerships toward creating inclusionary housing.
Projects include Fourth Street Center, Meadow Park,
Family Park, Fireside Housing, and
The Next Key.
Fourth Street Center
As a "next step" location for our Adult Services and Mental Health Services residents,
this center provides long-term housing for 20 single adults. Counseling and other support
services are also provided. Income from four commercial tenants on the ground floor helps
support ongoing services for the residents.

Meadow Park
Located at the decommissioned Hamilton Air Force base, Meadow Park is a community of 60 affordable housing units for
families. Seventeen of these units are reserved for families transitioning from Homeward Bound's
Family Services program. An on-site counselor gives them the support they need to maintain stable
housing.
Family Park
Located at two sites in San Rafael, Family Park provides transitional housing to eight
Marin families. Families receive counseling in areas such as budgeting, credit cleanup,
nutritional meal planning, and parenting.
Fireside Housing
Citizens' Housing Corporation, a developer of affordable housing throughout California,
invited Homeward Bound to partner with them in their bid for HUD-SHP funding to convert a
motel in Mill Valley to studio apartments. Five units will be set aside for formerly or
chronically homeless families.
